Autumn Glory

Fabulous use of colour, plus superb whimsies are the most striking features of this excellent wooden puzzle, which also features careful colour line-cutting and was cut with a very fine blade.
The original box was not present, but I have now seen this same puzzle in a 1932 dated Pastime box with the title of Morning Glory, so I feel confident in my identification.
With expert assistance from the United States, the identity of the artist has now been found to be that of the San Francisco born artist Edward Alfred Cucuel (1875-1954), who studied art in Paris during the late 19th Century, and adopted a style very reminiscent of the great French Impressionists.
