04. Halt at the Smithy

One of the first four designs in this c1930's range of interlocking cardboard puzzles. Unlike later editions the box has no illustration to follow. The painting is signed H. Hammond and features a period piece showing three horsemen, probably from around the late 1700’s, stopping at the forge so the blacksmith can fix the shoe on the hoof of one of the horses.
